WHAT IS ACT SURVIVAL?
The word ACT is short for Active Critical Threat. It is also an action one must take to survive an immediate threat. We developed the ACT Survival program to equip and train places of work, worship, and education against targeted violence, and we genuinely believe that one’s safety is only as good as their plan.
Let’s understand your risks, develop a plan, equip your team, and foster a culture of safety.
COMPREHENSIVE RISK ASSESSMENTS
Developing an effective safety plan starts with understanding your organization’s vulnerabilities. We employ an approach that considers all aspects of risk, including the industry, location, property, structures, operations, personnel, clientele, visitors, and more, and identify areas of vulnerability that can be addressed at every level. This approach will enable immediate improvements in risk mitigation, taking into account time, resources, and budget to address the organization’s needs and goals in a manageable and attainable way. Below is what to expect from a comprehensive risk assessment:
Vulnerability evaluation questionnaire
On-site property & operations survey
Detailed risk report with your organization's safety rating
Threat mitigation prioritizing & planning
Active critical threat protection & termination standby services
WORKPLACE VIOLENCE (WPV) TRAINING
ACT Survival originated by presenting workplace violence prevention and training to faith-based organizations in the Central Valley. We saw immense value in what was being received, so this initiative expanded to other industries and institutions. The presentations we offer, which can last anywhere from an hour to an entire day, are tailored to your organization's and Human Resources’ needs, and train all employee or volunteer levels. Staff will be expected to learn the following:
Workplace safety & prevention
Behavioral health awareness
Incident reporting & mediation guidance
Active critical threat response training
SB553 WPPV COMPLIANCE & POLICY GUIDANCE
Understanding Senate Bill 553 and the mandate on businesses
